Director of Controlling

PROFILE

The Director of Controlling is responsible for consolidating the financial performance of the Group. You will act as a business partner for the CFO and the Group leadership team.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Ensures financial records and controls in accordance and compliance with Group Finance, Parent Company.
  • Assures effective financial control in the Group, including the implementation of Corporate policies, and operation of effective management records.
  • Financial consolidation of the Group’s subsidiaries, including monthly management review and consolidation process.
  • Controlling of subsidiaries through ongoing reviews and visits (approx. 20 travel days per year).
  • Signs and closes monthly accounts, forecasts, budgets – ensuring data released is both on-time and of high quality.
  • Monthly reporting to the Executive Board and the Board of Directors.
  • Monthly reporting to the Parent Company.
  • Annual budgeting for own Group.
  • Quarterly forecasting for own Group.
  • Presentation of external annual report.
  • Works with other functions on cost improvements and on reducing net working capital.
  • Provides ad-hoc performance and decision support analysis.
  • Link to Group Controlling and Group Tax in Group Finance, Parent Company.
  • Ensures coordination with the Danish Finance and Treasury function.
  • Transfer Pricing documentation in own Group.
  • Develops business cases and financial models as well as financial analysis on key business projects, including capital expenditure projects, improvement projects, and M&A activities (due diligence, opening balances, etc.). 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Experience working in an international manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Lead a team with the right high-performance culture.
  • Excellent people management skills including patience, good judgement, active listening, trust, good communication and the ability to relate to a diverse range of stakeholders as well as supervisory skills, delegation, and evaluating performance.
  • Capable of driving change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results.
  • Fluent in Danish and English written and oral communication with the ability to influence the audience.
  • Anticipates internal or external business challenges/regulatory issues and makes recommendations.
  • Capable in directing the resolution of complex or unusual business problems, while applying analytical thinking and judgement.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field that will allow successful performance of job expectations, Master’s Degree preferred.
